Meet Mirchaye
DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
With over seven years of digital media and communications experience, Mirchaye joined the NG Media team as a Digital Marketing Specialist. She has a wide range of skills, including video production and social media marketing, which enables her to create content for client newsletters and social media accounts. She has a BA in Mass Media Art from the University of the District of Columbia and an MA in International Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.
Mirchaye is originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and is fluent in Amharic, English, and French. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her two boys and her husband.

ARE YOU A MORNING OR NIGHT PERSON?
Night person. I get all my creative ideas for writing or the video I am editing late at night.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD OR MEAL?
My favorite meal is anything that involves Injera, which is a pancake-like flatbread with a slightly spongy texture, traditionally made of teff flour. It is a staple in my home country of Ethiopia and is central to the dining process, like bread or rice elsewhere.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SEASON?
Fall. I am biased, maybe because I am a fall baby, but I think fall has the best weather. Not too cold or hot. Plus, fall colors are beautiful.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Santorini, Greece. I have been to quite a few countries in the world, but never visited Santorini. The pictures I have seen are breathtaking.
WHAT DO YOU MOST LIKE TO DO ON YOUR DAY OFF?
I like to watch a nice movie, read a self-help book, and journal.
